It was a good run, but the Dewey Bulldoggers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a serious blow against Riverfield Country Day, falling 71-39. Dewey was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.
Riverfield Country Day's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braedon Clinton, who scored 19 points along with eight assists and two steals. Clinton hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolby Brent, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Dewey's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Riverfield Country Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Dewey and Cleveland will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Riverfield Country Day won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Liberty at 7:55 p.m. on January 20th. Liberty is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
