Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trabuco Hills). They blew past the San Clemente Tritons 47-12 on Tuesday. Considering the Mustangs have won five contests by more than 19 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Trabuco Hills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ellie Tapper, who threw for 212 yards and two TDs while completing 84.6% of her passes, and also punched in one rushing score. What's more, Tapper racked up 116.2 passer rating, the most she's had since back in August. Madeline Hales got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Trabuco Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Mya Santos led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Hales got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, San Clemente still got an impressive performance from Grace Bunker, who picked up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The victory made it two in a row for Trabuco Hills and bumps their season record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 25 points in those games. As for San Clemente, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Trabuco Hills will head out to challenge Aliso Niguel at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for San Clemente, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 39-6 victory against Dana Hills on the 11th.
