The Eastern Tech Mavericks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Catonsville Comets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Eastern Tech has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while the Comets will arrive with six straight wins.
Eastern Tech's game on Friday was all tied up 36-36 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a hard 88-71 fall against Overlea. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eastern Tech in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite their loss, Eastern Tech saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jericho Wondeye, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Adrian Pefianco was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Catonsville didn't have too much trouble with the Generals at home on Monday as they won 66-48.
Eastern Tech's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Catonsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
