Tappan Zee had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Beacon Blue Demons  a   6-0 shutout  on Friday. The Dutchmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three  goals or more this season.
 They hit Beacon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Eve Girardi (4), 
 Amiyah Johnson,  and 
 Charlotte March.
 The  victory was  the fourth in a row for Tappan Zee, bringing their record for this year to 12-4-1.
 Tappan Zee will be playing in front of their home fans against John Jay  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Tappan Zee knows how to get  goals on the board -- the  squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully John Jay likes a good challenge. Beacon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
