Southeast of Saline is 8-2 against Ellsworth since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Southeast of Saline Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Ellsworth Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Southeast of Saline focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
Southeast of Saline was handed a 22-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Scott on Saturday. Southeast of Saline came out on top in a nail-biter against Scott and snuck past 49-47. The victory was just what Southeast of Saline needed coming off of a 58-36 defeat in their prior contest.
Gannon Jacobson was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Owen Bailey, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Ellsworth waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 61-31 victory over Plainville. Ellsworth has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 28 points or more this season.
Southeast of Saline is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Ellsworth, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Everything went Southeast of Saline's way against Ellsworth in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Southeast of Saline made off with a 63-41 victory. Will Southeast of Saline repeat their success, or does Ellsworth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
