There's no place like home for the Hollins Royals, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They secured a 62-57 W over Tarpon Springs on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Hollins had a senior duo take command as Malachi Miller scored 24 points along with six steals and Josh Castallani dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Miller has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Jerry, who scored four points.
Hollins' victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Tarpon Springs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Hollins won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sarasota Military Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Sarasota Military Academy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 18. As for Tarpon Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Anclote at 7:30 p.m.
