Pasadena waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cypress Lakes Spartans.

Alehtse Vela paced Pasadena's offense, picking up eight kills. Vela got some help from Caryme Molina and her 16 assists. Molina also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Marleen Chavez, racking up two apiece.

Pasadena's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Cypress Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 8-18.

Pasadena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Almeta Crawford on the 30th. As for Cypress Lakes, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Angleton on the 30th.
