The Valley Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell  55-42 to Berthoud. Valley has struggled against Berthoud recently, as their  game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Valley's loss  came despite strong showings from  Nevaeh Jimenez and  Peyton Savolt.  Jimenez  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 14  rebounds, while  Savolt  scored 19 points along with three  steals. That was a full 45.2% of Valley's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.
 Berthoud found their leader in underclassman  Avery Pfohl, who  scored 23 points along with three  steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which  Pfohl has scored at least a third of Berthoud's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maddie Rogers, who  scored six points along with five  steals.
 Valley has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost six of their last seven matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Berthoud, their victory  ended a three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-10.
 Valley will be playing at home against Sterling at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Berthoud, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Fossil Ridge at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
