The Discovery Spartans's seven-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They blew past Oasis Christian 43-14 at home. The victory was just what Discovery needed coming off of a 66-9 loss in their prior matchup.
Discovery's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Oasis Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Discovery won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lake Placid at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Lake Placid has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Oasis Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Winter Haven Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Winter Haven Christian is ranked 663rd, while Oasis Christian is ranked 666th).
