Basketball Recap: Mcclintock Skates Past Fairfax with Ease

There's no place like home for McClintock, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 62-28 win over the Fairfax Stampede. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McClintock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lamaiya Woodberry, who posted 15 points. Woodberry has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Kamari Roddy was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

McClintock smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

McClintock is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.3 points. As for Fairfax, they moved to 11-9 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McClintock will take on Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. McClintock is facing Central at the right time seeing as Central is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Fairfax has already played their next contest (against Copper Canyon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
