On Saturday HEM take on Midwest at 1:30 PM. If the game is anything like the 52-71 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
HEM had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against St. Stephens last week as the squad secured a 60-13 win. No one had a better game by the numbers than junior Shane Mcgraw, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 81 yards on the ground and threw 3 TDs. In fact, with 13 tackles Mcgraw was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Midwest gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener. They steamrollered Dubois 68-20. With Midwest ahead 48-20, the match was all but decided by halftime.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Midwest and HEM will really light up the scoreboard.
