The biggest upset of the week belonged to Jefferson, who took down 213th ranked Jefferson, 7-6. Joey Warnecke ran for 72 yards in the win.
Lima Central Catholic extended the longest winning streak in Northwest this week by beating Bishop Ready, 31-13. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Ada's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Mason Acheson threw for 215 and three touchdowns and Kellen Decker had 78 yards receiving. On the ground Decker chipped in 105 yards. Matt Wilcox helped Ada's passing attack out by catching four balls for 44 yards.
Ada's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Acheson has thrown for 1850 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Micah Roberson has 30 catches for 494 yards. Decker leads the league in rushing with 1264 yards.
The Bulldogs' Acheson is within 150 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Allen East.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lima Central Catholic takes on Bluffton. At the moment, Jerry Cooper's team is in first, while the Pirates are in seventh.
Columbus Grove moved up to 235 from 299 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Northwest. The Bulldogs were able to make the jump by beating the Wildcats 7-6.
