The Leroy Bears can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They took down McIntosh 43-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Leroy also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Leroy was led to victory by Chauncey Dixon and Aaliyah Johnson. Dixon scored 18 points, while Johnson dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. The match was Dixon's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Holder, who scored seven points.
Leroy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for McIntosh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leroy will take on Fruitdale at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McIntosh, they will play host again and welcome Satsuma, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
