Norfolk has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Lincoln High Links at TBD on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Norfolk won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They suffered a tough 59-37 defeat at the hands of Lincoln Southwest. While losing is never fun, Norfolk can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Lincoln Southwest is ranked 18th).
Norfolk's defeat came about despite a quality game from Skylar Indra, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Russell Aubrey, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Lincoln High ended up a good deal behind Gretna East on Saturday and lost 57-41. Lincoln High has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Norfolk's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Lincoln High, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.
Norfolk strolled past Lincoln High in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 50-34. Does Norfolk have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincoln High turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
