The Millennium Tigers will face off against the Alhambra Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Millennium is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Millennium took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Sunnyslope by a score of 9-5. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Felix Santana tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chase Fillman, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Perrin, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Millennium lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, while Alhambra put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for North. The Lions were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Mustangs. Considering the Lions have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Nicolas Reyes made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Omar Marrufo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Omar Guzman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Alhambra is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Millennium, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.
