Geneva has gone a perfect 5-0 against Orangewood Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Geneva Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Orangewood Christian Rams at 3:30 p.m. Geneva is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
Geneva will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Lyman, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Geneva's pitcher stepped up to hand Lyman an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Ella Ingram was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Bastian, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
Geneva always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lyman only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Orangewood Christian suffered their biggest defeat since March 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Mount Dora Christian Academy, falling 10-1. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Orangewood Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Putt, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Hadleigh Weis also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Geneva's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Orangewood Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Orangewood Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Geneva has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .553. It's a different story for Orangewood Christian, though, as they've only averaged .331. Will they be able to contain Geneva's hitters?
Geneva was able to grind out a solid win over Orangewood Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 7-4. Will Geneva repeat their success, or does Orangewood Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
