Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Lansing Christian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-41 loss to the Redhawks. Lansing Christian was down 54-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the defeat, Lansing Christian had strong showings from Ethan Damesworth, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds, and David Hall, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Damesworth pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bath's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 56-39 bruising from Perry.
Lansing Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Bath, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
Lansing Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Fighting Bees in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lansing Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
