The River View Black Bears will be taking part in a tournament against the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. River View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.

River View is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Meadowbrook.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Parker Andrews, who went 5-for-11 en route to 12 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Layton Massie was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Tuscarawas Valley was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Tuscarawas Central Catholic 72-28. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won six in a row.

River View better keep an eye on Cole Kuykendall. He was instrumental in Tuscarawas Valley's win, going 9-for-15 from beyond the arc to rack up 27 points. Thanks to that strong game, Kuykendall now owns an excellent 42.1% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Miller, who posted eight points and three steals.

Tuscarawas Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Tuscarawas Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for River View, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: River View has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Tuscarawas Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 20.3 rebounds.
