Monticello was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sullivan West apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Monticello's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabella Velasquez, who scored eight points. Amiah Neails was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Sullivan West, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
