Football Recap: Limon Piles Up the Points Against Flatirons Academy + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Limon had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Flatirons Academy Bison, posting a 44-16 win. The Badgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Limon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Jaklich out in front who rushed for 120 yards and four scores on only ten carries. Those 120 rushing yards gave Jaklich a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Camdyn Tacha, who rushed for 90 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Limon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 304 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Although Flatirons Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Caleb Doughty and Zeke Friedman.

Limon pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.1 points on average over those games. As for Flatirons Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Limon will square off against Monte Vista at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Badgers 9.4, the Pirates 8.1) so any points scored will be well earned. Flatirons Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
