Berean Christian extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 10-4-1. They blew past the Concord Bears 16-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-0 two weeks ago.
Delaney Smith made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Leila Rhoads, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sierra Talbot, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Berean Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .714. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
As for Concord, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Concord's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shay Caban, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Caban has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.
