Neuse Charter is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Wildcats a 13-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Neuse Charter Cougars will take on the Hobbton Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neuse Charter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Neuse Charter was the victim of a rough 60-38 defeat at the hands of the Rebels. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Neuse Charter in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now lost six in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cayley Cochran, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Kozloff, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 51-17, which was the final score in Hobbton's tilt against the Eagles on Friday.
Neuse Charter has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Hobbton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
Everything came up roses for Neuse Charter against the Wildcats when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 51-18 win. Will Neuse Charter repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
