Cotulla is 8-2 against Lytle since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cowboys will host the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Cotulla is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
On Friday, Cotulla made easy work of Hondo and carried off a 12-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Cowboys, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Cotulla got a massive performance out of Sienna Arevalo, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5. Those three runs gave Arevalo a new career-high. Sareen Ramirez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lytle's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Natalia.
Kaycee Galindo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and eight unearned) runs on 14 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Anissa Perez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Payton Devaney, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Cotulla's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Lytle, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Cotulla has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lytle struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Cotulla skirted past Lytle 5-4 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Do the Cowboys have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
