Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the American Heritage Stallions walked away with it. They secured a 58-53 W over the Cougars on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but American Heritage sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead American Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brendan Gerard, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and three steals. Xander Gerard was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
American Heritage pushed their record up to 15-6 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.
American Heritage will take on North Broward Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 61.81 points so far this season, American Heritage's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so North Broward Prep better be ready for a challenge. Somerset Academy - Canyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
