Basketball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Dewitt's Winning Streak

If DeWitt was riding high fresh off their 70-46 takedown of Sparta last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The DeWitt Panthers fell 60-50 to the Ionia Bulldogs on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 326th).

As for Ionia, they will face off against Hastings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ionia has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three matchups.
