Tucker Waltz Crosses Big Stat Threshold
 On Friday, Bartlett had to settle for second even though  Tucker Waltz put up the best numbers he has all season. Waltz picked up  two  sacks, forced two fumbles,  and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss). Thanks to that strong showing,  he's  now averaging 5.2  total tackles per game.
 This year,  Waltz  has averaged 5.2 total tackles per game  and for the season has 3 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season,  he was only averaging 0.67  total tackles per game.

Cam Nelson Delivers Best  Performance of Season
 Arlington came up short  on Friday despite  Cam Nelson delivering his best game to date. Nelson picked up 101 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Arlington dropped their record down to 2-5 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Nelson and Arlington will be playing in front of their home fans against Houston  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.

Collierville Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to  Grant Troutman
  Grant Troutman was instrumental in extending Collierville's winning streak to seven on Thursday. Troutman did his part (and then some), throwing for 160 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground for the 'W'.
 Collierville's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-0. Troutman and Collierville will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cordova at 7:00  p.m.  on October 18th.

Arlington Gets a Boost from Lyons in  44-21  Loss
 The second Arlington player making an appearance here is  Jacksen Lyons, and for good reason. He threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
 For the year,  Lyons  has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 127.1 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season,  he was only averaging 82  passing yards per game.
Gamescore: 17.43
 Collierville picked up their seventh consecutive win   on Thursday thanks in part to  John Hampton. Hampton was dynamite, rushing for 58 yards and two touchdowns.
 Hampton might have his next game, a road matchup with Cordova, circled on his calendar. Hampton rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries the last time he and the Wolves duked it out  back in October of 2023.
