It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but The Oxnard Yellowjackets ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against San Marcos and snuck past 22-20. The victory was just what Oxnard needed coming off of a 41-7 defeat in their prior match.
Oxnard's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Demitrius Williams and his three sacks.
Oxnard's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for San Marcos, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-6.
Oxnard will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pacifica at 7:00 p.m. Pacifica will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for San Marcos, they will head out on the road to face off against Channel Islands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Channel Islands is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
