After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tamaqua, the Panther Valley Panthers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took down Lehighton 59-43. For Panther Valley, this counts as revenge for the 68-53 loss Lehighton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Conner Penberth went supernova for Panther Valley, scoring 23 points. It was the first time this season that Penberth scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Kokinda, who scored 11 points.
Panther Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Lehighton, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Panther Valley will take on Southern Columbia Area at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Panther Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday. As for Lehighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Stroudsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
