The Mountain View Thunder scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Battle Ground, posting a 76-26 win at home. That looming 76-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mountain View yet this season.
Mountain View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nina Peterson, who scored 19 points. Peterson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camaria Brown, who scored 16 points.
Battle Ground's loss came despite strong showings from Skylar Fridriksson and Lola Cooper. Fridriksson scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and three steals, while Cooper scored two points. That's the first time this season that Fridriksson pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Even though they lost, Battle Ground were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The victory was the third in a row for Mountain View, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Battle Ground, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will stay at home for another game and welcome Kelso at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. Battle Ground will take on Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
