Cade Patterson and Parker Johnson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against West Las Vegas. The connection went for 91 yards, the longest such play in 3A District 4 this season.
Ruidoso extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Dons, 55-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Warriors.
Ruidoso's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Patterson threw for 110 and two touchdowns and Johnson had 145 yards receiving. On the ground Bryce Pompos chipped in 106 yards. Dillon Pietch helped Ruidoso's passing attack out by catching two balls for eight yards.
Ruidoso's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pompos has thrown for 499 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Johnson has 22 catches for 390 yards. Pompos also leads the league in rushing with 360 yards.
Kief Johnson's team took down West Las Vegas 55-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Pompos threw for 48 yards and one touchdown in the win.
