Softball Game Preview: Plumstead Christian vs. Delaware County Christian Knights

Plumstead Christian are taking a road trip to take on the Delaware County Christian Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Plumstead Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against New Hope-Solebury on Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 12-1.

Plumstead Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Edgerton, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Edgerton has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Delaware County Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Plumstead Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Plumstead Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .477. However, it's not like Delaware County Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
