MaxStats for Basketball allows live & accurate stats to be recorded for any of the 66,000 high school basketball teams in the United States
CAMERON PARK, CA, Jan. 13, 2011 - MaxPreps.com, the online high school sports leader and a CBSSports.com site, has launched MaxStats for Basketball, a mobile stat tracker application tailored for high school basketball. Compatible with the iPad, MaxStats for Basketball allows users to keep real-time basketball stats from the stands or courtside, with shot charts and stats tables instantly available as the game progresses, providing the ultimate tool for high school basketball statisticians, coaches and super fans.
The MaxStats for Basketball application connects to the MaxPreps.com database of schedules and rosters for all boys and girls Varsity, JV and Freshman levels at each of the 20,000 high schools with basketball teams across the United States. Immediately following each game recorded using MaxStats for Basketball, the stats are available to be uploaded to each teams page on MaxPreps.com.

Keeps track of all of the MaxPreps.com stat categories, including timeouts and fouls - for both your team and your opponent. Real-time editing allows you to quickly make corrections to your stats without missing any game action.
The application features built-in NFHS basketball rules engine to make data entry faster. Common events like a 'Putback Made' or 'Putback Missed' populate several stat categories with a single touch.
Rosters can be modified at start time to reflect jersey changes as well as setting the starting lineup. Substitutions are made during the game with a single touch.
Demo game included on the schedule to practice using the application before game night. Features a comprehensive user's manual.
Additional MaxStats for Basketball features:Export stats directly to MaxPreps.com. The team administrator can preview the results prior to posting them on the team page. Results from multiple scorekeepers at the same game are available for comparison.
Player and team summary reports can be viewed during or after the game. The reports (saved in CSV format) can be e-mailed to anyone, during or after the game. Game results are saved in a local library and can be re-submitted anytime in the future.
To set user preferences, such as selecting your favorite school, the team level, and MaxPreps.com login information is saved in the application to speed up game selection.
