The Campbell County Camels will take on the Green River Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Campbell County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season.

Campbell County heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Saturday. They took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sheridan. That's two games in a row now that the Camels have lost by exactly ten points.

Despite their defeat, Campbell County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lauren Kuhbacher, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Kuhbacher has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Neary, who put up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Green River faced Star Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Green River was the clear victors by a 45-25 margin over Star Valley. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Green River is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.6 points. This is the second loss in a row for Campbell County and nudges their season record down to 12-11.

Campbell County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Green River when the teams last played back in March of 2022, but they still walked away with a 38-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campbell County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
