The North Edgecombe Warriors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 34-20 to Warren County. North Edgecombe was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Warren County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
North Edgecombe's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Dickens, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
North Edgecombe has fallen quite a ways from their 8-4 record last season and are now at 2-7. As for Warren County, their win bumped their record up to 5-5.
North Edgecombe will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP P at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (KIPP P is ranked 399th, while North Edgecombe is ranked 385th). Warren County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
