Lake View took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They breezed past the Fort Stockton Panthers to the tune of 42-7. This was payback for the Chiefs/Maidens, who suffered a 30-27 loss the last time these two teams met.
Izaiah Rios went supernova, rushing for 87 yards and one score on only seven carries, while also picking up 52 receiving yards and one touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Braylon White also helped out with an impressive 115 receiving yards.
Lake View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Roman Garcia and Kentrell Johnson. Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
