Lamar posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They blew past East Rankin Academy 62-26 on the road. The win was just what Lamar needed coming off of a 67-42 defeat in their prior matchup.
Cooper Gordy was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 18 points along with eight assists and seven steals. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Hart, who scored 17 points along with three blocks.
Park Place Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 78-31 loss at the hands of Simpson Academy. Park Place Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-23.
Lamar's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Park Place Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.
Lamar didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Park Place Christian Academy when the teams last played on January 5th, but they still walked away with a 59-53 victory.
