Plainview scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to Wylie on the road by a 70-52 margin. Plainview has struggled against Wylie recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Julius Laine, who rushed for 300 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.3 yards per carry for Wylie. Wylie is 3-1 when Laine posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise. Jadin Karleskint was another key player, throwing for 145 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes.

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Wylie, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record.
