The Harvard Ellis Tech Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Cheney RVT on the road and fell 82-35. Harvard Ellis Tech was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-17.
Cheney RVT's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mohamed Camara, who scored 13 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kanye Pitts, who scored 13 points.
Harvard Ellis Tech dropped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Cheney RVT, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvard Ellis Tech and Windham RVT will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Windham RVT's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Cheney RVT, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Goodwin Tech at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. Goodwin Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Cheney RVT is ranked 22nd).
