The Sunlake Seahawks will face off against the Creekside Knights at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Creekside will be up against a hot Sunlake squad: the team just extended their winning streak to ten. The Seahawks' pitchers stepped up to hand Jensen Beach a 14-0 shutout on Saturday. Sunlake's win was all the more impressive since the Falcons were averaging only 4.09 runs allowed on the season.

Madison Siders looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sunlake got a massive performance out of Katie DeMara, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Emily Ward, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Sunlake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Creekside). They blew past Franklin County 19-9 on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly ten runs.
Bristol Keiser made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Keiser was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kaitlyn Robbins was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Ella Farcas was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Sunlake's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Creekside, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Sunlake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Creekside struggles in that department as they've averaged .359. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
