Kingman is 2-7 against Pratt since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kingman Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Pratt Greenbacks at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Kingman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Kingman's three-game losing streak came to an end. They were the clear victor by a 46-23 margin over Sedgwick. That looming 46-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Kingman yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kingman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Webster, who scored nine points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. ZayDen Volden was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pratt was able to grind out a solid victory over Russell on Tuesday, taking the game 60-48. Given Pratt's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Russell is ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kingman's record now sits at 2-4. As for Pratt, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Kingman came up short against Pratt when the teams last played back in January, falling 49-44. Can Kingman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
