Butler lost to Summit Christian Academy on the road by a decisive 59-45 margin. Butler has struggled against Summit Christian Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Summit Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mike Thomas iii, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Carter Jeffries was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Butler's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Summit Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Butler will be playing in front of their home fans against Sherwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sherwood is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge University Academy Charter at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University Academy Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 546th, while Summit Christian Academy is ranked 98th).
