Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pickerington North). They put the hurt on the Central Crossing Comets with a sharp 65-44 win on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Central Crossing's loss came despite strong showings from Cordelia Watkins and Kassidy Gunnell. Watkins almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards, while Gunnell almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Watkins a new career-high in blocks (four).

Pickerington North's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Central Crossing, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Pickerington North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-36 defeat against Olentangy Berlin on the 14th. As for Central Crossing, they will host New Albany at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. Central Crossing is facing New Albany at the right time seeing as New Albany is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
