The SkyView Academy Hawks had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Clear Creek with a sharp 73-49 victory. SkyView Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead SkyView Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Dove, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Dove is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Markus Lloyd, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Several Golddiggers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zephyr Schuessler, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schuessler has scored all season. Collin Hendrickson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
SkyView Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Clear Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
SkyView Academy will play host again and welcome Dawson School, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clear Creek on the road again on Friday and play against Lyons at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Lyons has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
