On Tuesday, Ely/Krekelberg HomeSchool sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 victory over Cook County.
Recko Helmerson- skildum and Denali Blackwell certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Helmerson- skildum dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds, while Blackwell went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 1 assists. The game was Blackwell's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Rohan Rude, who scored nine points along with seven assists.
Even though they lost, Cook County were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Ely/Krekelberg HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Cook County, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
