Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Stevenson's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Stevenson lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Walled Lake Western, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Spartans blew past the Warriors 16-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 11 games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Stevenson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Walled Lake Western, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-11.

Stevenson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair will be back at it again later today.
