Tuscarawas Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Leffler, who scored 24 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Leffler has scored at least 25% of Tuscarawas Valley's points. Cole Kuykendall was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Tuscarawas Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Ridgewood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Tuscarawas Valley will head out on the road to face off against Sandy Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgewood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kingsway Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. Kingsway Christian has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21.
