The Environmental Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hunter College Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Last Wednesday, Environmental got the win against Richman by a conclusive 52-32.
Environmental's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from WILLIS CHAN, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of OMAR BATISTA, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hunter College was fully in charge on Wednesday, breezing past Art & Design 55-19 on the road. Given Hunter College's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Art & Design is ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Their wins bumped Environmental to 3-0 and Richman to 1-1.
Things could have been worse for Environmental, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-43 loss to Hunter College in their previous matchup back in January. Thankfully for Environmental, Merlin Gogolin (who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 10 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
