The Carroll Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Miller Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Carroll came up short against Flour Bluff and fell 64-51. Carroll has struggled against Flour Bluff recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Miller had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 68-61 victory over Victoria East. 68 seems to be a good number for Miller as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Damare Lister was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was George Simmons, who scored 16 points.
Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Miller, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.
Everything went Carroll's way against Miller in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Carroll made off with a 68-46 win. Does Carroll have another victory up their sleeve, or will Miller turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
