After losing to the HOPE Christian Academy Lions the last time they met, the Grace Christian Academy EAGLES decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Grace Christian Academy came out on top against HOPE Christian Academy by a score of 60-53 on Monday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grace Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Riesberg, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Riesberg is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamal Francis, who scored 11 points along with seven assists.
Grace Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for HOPE Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Strong Rock Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Strong Rock Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.7 points per game. HOPE Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
