The Tipton Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Eastern Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Tipton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Wabash, posting a 48-13 win. The Blue Devils pushed the score to 48-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Apaches cut but never quite recovered from.

Tipton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zane I. Durham, who rushed for 86 yards and a pair of scores. I. Durham's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. Quinn Tolle was another key player, having thrown for 268 yards and two touchdowns.
Tipton didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Wabash to a completion percentage of just 40%. The team can thank William Wolford for the heroic effort on defense: he. Tipton has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.62 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.62 in their last three games.
Tipton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Izayah Mahaney and I. Durham.
Meanwhile, Eastern entered their tilt with Blackford on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They claimed a resounding 53-7 victory over the Bruins. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Comets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Bruins are ranked 294th).
Tipton better focus on containing Isaiah Pickett and Gibson Eagle as the pair were huge in Eastern's win. Pickett rushed for 130 yards and two TDs on only seven carries, while Eagle threw for 219 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Eagle has posted since back in August. Kaleb Hurt was Eagle's top target, picking up 130 receiving yards and one score.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Eastern, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Riley Helmburger, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Tipton's record is now 6-4. As for Eastern, their record now sits at 9-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Tipton has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 152.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Eastern struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 177.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Tipton came up short against Eastern in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 21-15. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Pickett, who rushed for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Now that the Blue Devils know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
